Welcome back! 馃憢
Today we'll be working on modals. I am aware that it is no one's favorite topic but today we have a very special guest that will hopefully make it less terrible. Please, allow me to introduce Elizabeth Alexandra Mary or, as many of you may know her, 馃憫 the Queen of England 馃憫. In the flesh (well, kind of)! Just tap on the following picture and you'll get to know her:
✍️ Have you listened to what she had to say? Sounds a bit hard, doesn't it? Well, now it is your turn to use the information she gave you to complete the following sentences with the modals (can, could, should, must, have to, may, might). You won't need all of them, just choose the most suitable option in each case:
- The Queen ______ follow very strict rules.
- You ______ keep eating if the Queen has finished.
- The royal family ______ follow a strict dress code.
- Members of the family ________ eat garlic if the Queen is present.
- Prince Philip _____ always walk behind her.
Should you have any doubts about these sentences, please write them down to ask in class. Next week, we will correct this and keep practising a bit more.
See you soon,
Lara 馃槉
